#SPICECORPS Until July 29, 2016, Microsoft will offer free upgrades of the OS for users of Windows 7 and Windows 8.x … BUT the free offer does not apply to all OS editions. It's only available to users of non-enterprise versions of those OSes. If you have an older OS like Windows Vista or XP, there's no direct upgrade path. You'll have to do a clean install and pay for the OS
