Demonstrators 6 month projects aimed at testing the service definitions and toolkits in actual use. 3 round of Toolkits 2 nd Round of Demonstrator Projects

Joint Information Systems Committee 09/03/2016 | slide 3 Why Criteria enterprises are using to select open source software products Feedback from 1 st round of demonstrator Trying to address sustainability issues

Joint Information Systems Committee 09/03/2016 | slide 4 Open source maturity model Toolkits –Project website –Project Forum –Project FAQ –Project artefacts and supporting files (e.g. sample content packages, QTI XML exemplars, white papers etc) –Install and deployment scripts –Project Issue and Bug Tracking

Joint Information Systems Committee 09/03/2016 | slide 5 Software Quality Assurance Toolkits will Peer group evaluation – Code readable – Code commented –Code structured –Code efficient –Algorithms tested –Functionality tested –API documentation available –Code publicly available with archive facility (e.g. SoureForge) –Licensed and available Demonstrator will evaluate –Platform compatibility tested –Performance tested –Deployment tested

Joint Information Systems Committee 09/03/2016 | slide 6 What Projects are required to participate in a Toolkit Peer Review Workshop in the final months identify those aspects of software quality and project maturity that will need to be addressed by the toolkit team during following demonstrator project. Demonstrator will set aside 10k of budget to work with original toolkit developer New toolkit need to be aware this is criteria for going on to be part of demonstrator project Old Toolkit can apply to do quality assurance and open source maturity model
