Dec.24 Clean room: In this day people clean all of their rooms and yards. Now days peoples also clean the window too, the house will be very tidy, I can be comfortable, too.

Dec.25 Make Bean curd: People make the bean curd for the spring festival dinner. Welcome the Jade Emperor: People think the jade emperor will come this day, their words and deeds are very careful. If they did so, the jade emperor can give them good luck.

Dec.26 Prepare Meet: In this day, people prepare meet for the spring festival dinner. In the past, people can only eat meat in the big festival. So, at the spring festival prepare is a very important part.

Dec.27,28 Wash, wash and wash: This day, people wash all of the cloth, and get bath. They think wash can clean the bad luck, so this day call “wash the good luck”

dec.29 Ancestor Worship: People ancestor worship to make filial piety. Chinese people think filial piety is the most important, they said:” Make the good things, make the filial piety first.”

Dec.30 Eat, watch and no sleep: We do this things now days, first eat the big spring festival dinner than watch the spring festival night party. Finally we can’t sleep until 12. Stick the picture: People sticks the door-god, spring festival scrolls and New Year pictures, for all year good luck

Jan.1 Pay a new year call: We use the phone and send blessings to each other. Sometimes people come to others home and pay a new year call. Give lucky money: At this day people give children money. They think money can scar the monster called “sui”. But now it’s a gift for children.

Jan.3 Burned keeper Paper: People burned the keeper paper to let the god give them lots of money this year. The Off Year: Off year is just like “small year”. In this day people can’t take water in the well, make fire in the stove(in farm), sweep the floor.

Jan.4,5 The goat’s day: legend is that god made goats in Jan.4. So this day, people can’t kill goats. If the weather is good, people will think the goats can grow very strong. Welcome the Mammon: In this day people go to the Mammon temple Sacrifice the Mammon. Stores will be open in order to earn more money.

What I do on spring festival My spring festival is original city spring festival. It has big different from the country. We don’t make what we eat, and we have spring festival party or internet spring festival, then our family are near by. Our house are very small, no yards. We spend 2 days to clean our house and bought the new year needs : washed clothes, washed curtain, cleaned windows, moped the floor, tidy the bookshelves, washed the kitchen etc. Then we watched the spring festival party and watch the internet spring festival party. But the spring festival party was full of dancing and singing, so we closed it then played a game call ”kill you” until 12 o’clock-----when the internet party started.

What I do on spring festival The next day, we went to grandparents’ home. My uncle and aunt came, taking my sisters. We went to botanical garden to watch lanterns. The lanterns as beautiful and dazzling as bright stars. At the moment I found a mountain full of lantern tulips. We came in to it. How fantastic it was! After that my brother came. I helped him did some of his home work, if I didn’t, maybe he can’t finish it. Then my sister came too, I helped her to learn math and English. When my brother started the class, they leaved. This is my happy spring festival.
