PLAN Cooking Quality and Drought Improvement of Rice Kongpanh Kanyavong & Chanthakhone Boualaphanh The Agriculture Research Center, NAFRI, Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry, Vientiane, Lao PDR

Objective: To obtain the rice lines that have: - good eating - drought adaptation

Material: Recipient: IR (Non glutinous and Moderate drought resistance) Donor: TDK1 (Glutinous and good eating quality) Methods: - Making normal crossing - Making back cross (BC1F1, BC2F1, BC3F1 and BC4F1) - Using MAS (Every back cross)
