Oil canvas By: Sydney Simmons

  You can see that there’s a sleeping gypsy on the ground next to the following; lion, guitar, vase, blankets, and the moon.  You can recognize the gypsy, the moon, the loin and other given objects.  The elements of design by color, you can tell that the artist had used, both warm and cool colors.  The medias and techniques used in the painting was on an oil canvas. Description

  The focal point of the artwork is both the gypsy and the lion.  The mood of the piece brings peace, calmness, and set of sleepiness.  The unusual idea about this piece, is the fact that there’s a lion in the desert, next to a gypsy sleeping in the middle of no where.  The piece does not have a pattern represented. There is an irregular pattern it doesn’t repeat over and over.  The visual rhythms/paths you get out the artwork, is the rows of the desert going further back, and the clothes and blanket that has text and color going through it. Analysis

  This artwork can symbolize a true bond of protection between one and another, which is shown by the lion toward the gypsy.  In my opinion, you can tell that the artist wanted you feel or think of the  This artwork reminds me and my dog, he protects me from every little thing to feel safe.  The artwork, as I said before, can relate to a bond between two people who truly care for one and another, and not to le t anything strand in there way. Interpretation

  The parts of this artwork are in some part a failure. The fact that most of the art id on the side, it just leave an empty space.  This artwork shows a lion and a sleeping gypsy with a purpose on a bond(protection).  The artwork is unique by the setting, purpose, and the picture in whole.  An improvement to artwork could be to add more object in the empty space.
