Mentors will…… Be the first point of contact with parents, especially for issues and concerns which may arise involving emotional and physical health and wellbeing of the student. Monitor cautions, rewards and progress of the students. Lead a programme of activities in mentor time (half an hour each day except Tuesday). Includes circle time, learning activities involving skills development, styles of learning etc. Write reports on the students and have 1:1 interviews to track progress.

Safeguarding Procedures – Recent Changes oAll parents to report to Reception. oChildren staying in the Library/Homework Club after school must be collected from Reception. oAll children on-site after 3.30 must be accounted for and sign in/out registers are kept. oReception now open until oIf girls are walking home, please make them safety aware as nights get dark. oAttendance and punctuality. Lates are recorded and figures shared with EWO. Parents can expect a letter from Education if lates to school amount to 15 or more. oParents must request authorisation from school for holidays during term time. Failure to do so will result in unauthorised absence on the register
