 Objective: Verify All parts are Present in Box  Parts Include:  Bottle  Pump  Gasket  Cap  Tip  Instruction sheet

Packing Inspection  Conditions:  Box will be Fixtured on Assembly Table  Parts will be Placed in Specific Locations

Packing Inspection  System Configuration:  VA 21 with TM2 Camera Mounted directly Above the Box  Lighting from an Area Light Mounted Directly above the Box

Packing Inspection  Description of Good and Bad Parts:  Good:  All Parts Present in Their Respective Locations  Bad:  Any Part Missing or Out of Position

Packing Inspection  Conclusion:  System is able to detect missing parts from specific locations.

Packing Inspection  Project Time line:  April 2007:  Salesman delivered sample parts for evaluation to my office.  Met with customer to demo, discuss, and present proposal.  Received P.O. for equipment.  Delivered equipment.  Held paid training session at customer location.  December 2007:  Customer hired an Integrator to install  January 2008:  Customer follow up.  Found customer was ready to abandon the equipment.  Made unpaid service call and preformed minor adjustment.  February 2008:  Satisfied customer

Packing Inspection  Issues:  (+) Committed customer that ordered promptly and attended training.  (-) Installation was delayed  (-) installation assigned to independent technician.  (-) Account salesperson changed.  (-) Customer encountered problems, but didn’t inform us.  (-) Sloppy (small box, unmounted appliance, gumbeled)  (+) Customer is satisfied

Packing Inspection  IPD Wish list:  Display curser position & Intensity in Sensor screen.  Default to disable Recycle, include VA20.  Default Edge Count ROI shape to a straight line.  View Edge Count pixel intensity / threshold graph.  Provide a Edge Count minimum width filter.  Provide Edge Count number for point reference.  Allow for multiple independent Locators.  Provide linear single axis Locators.  Provide a latched output option.  View Blob tool pixel histograms.  Allow the Blob tool a fixed threshold option.  Allow for masked areas within a Blob tool.  Provide Input Output assignment page.
