GUIDED PRACTICE  Let’s practice strategies for getting started.  Create a brainstorm list, concept map, outline, or freewrite for the following writing prompt. Write for 4 minutes. PROMPT: Describe your current composing process and then discuss what you might do differently after being given the tips in this presentation.

ARTIFACT-BASED PRACTICE  Now, let’s look at a writing assignment you have for one of your courses. Make an honest and detailed plan for how plan to approach that assignment and when/how you will compose that assignment.
