INTERVIEW QUESTIONS 1.Please indicate whether you are a teacher or a student teacher. 2.How long have you taught? ______________________ 3.Describe a time during your student teaching or first year of teaching when you faced a troubling episode or aspect of the job. This would be something that occupied a lot of your thinking at the time and caused you considerable anxiety.

4.How did this challenging situation affect you? Could you recognize any physical and/or emotional effects that this challenge had on you? 5.How did you contend with the difficult situation? In other words, what steps did you take or strategies did you employ in order to endure the difficulty?

6.When you faced a difficult situation, what help was available to you? If you took advantage of the available help, what was the result? If you didn’t seek any help, why didn’t you? 7.What preparation during your teacher training, or assistance while you were teaching, could have helped you to make a difficult situation less stressful?
