It can be stressful due to all of the different needs of children needing to be met. To advance, you have to continue education in the field, most advance through publishing journals. Opportunities include being museum director, or moving on to a larger institution.

Similarities of the two careers include both working with children, if they were to come into a museum. Also, both careers are driven by education. Another similarity is that they both need at least bachelors degree to even start the job.

Differences between early childhood special education and being a museum curator include one working with children more than the other. The time you have to go to college to get the degree differ by a year, and the type of degree you get differs as well. Being a museum curator would require me to travel a lot to different places, whereas being a teacher would have me come to the same place every day. And finally, being an early childhood special education teacher would involve me working with children, and being a museum curator would involve me working with artifacts.

My choice is to be an early childhood special education teacher. It seems like the best fit for me, I really enjoy the working environments, and I have always wanted to help children.
