Proposed Structure Cont’d Fall Term: WLU courses only Winter Term: Nipissing courses only 6 weeks of NU courses throughout January and February, followed by final practicum blocks Intensive study period- 3 NU courses (24 hours each) Average of 4 days of classes weekly Possible workshops on Fridays (time-sensitive for application purposes)
Proposed Schedule (WI Term) Six-week block of classes (January 3- February 10) Some workshops may be offered during the week of Feb. 13 th -17 th Final practicum blocks February 21-April 20 th (2 blocks, 4 weeks each) March Break off Questions/Concerns must be communicated to Maria or Kelly by 4:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 3
Rationale Starting January 3 rd aligns with Academic Dates at Laurier Brantford Allows for compact 6 weeks at the beginning of January (rent purposes) 4 week block placements fit well before and after March Break Holding week of Feb 13 th -17 th for Professional Development workshops Finished by April 20 th
