Who does what? Role of different stakeholders AIM Standing Team workshop: Joint Evaluations Casablanca, November 2011

A matrix of roles and responsibilities R Responsible Who does the job (or helps/support to do it?) A Accountable Who is responsible for the job to be done? C Consulted who needs to be consulted (two way process) I Informed Who should be informed about this activity? (one way flow) S Source Who can provide information? (one way flow, extractive)

Things to look at! Stakeholder 1Stakeholder 2Stakeholder 3… Task 1RA-- Task 2-R/AI- Task 3--C- Task 4R/ACI- Things to look at: A: Only one stakeholder is accountable for each task (only one A for each row!) R: avoid having too many responsible people! (but put at least one R in each row!) A/R can coincide (a cell can have both a R and a A) C,S;I: be realistic. Indicate only the key people to consult/inform/use as source. Double check columns: are some actors left out? Are some actors overworked?
