Health and Physical Education 8 th Grade Overview of class activities and expectations

Schedule Class will meet on J, A, N days each cycle. Physical Education will meet 6 classes Health will meet 3 classes

Uniforms PE uniforms are available at Colonial Sports (red shorts, gray t-shirt) Full uniforms must be worn each PE day to receive full participation points. (shorts, t-shirt, socks and sneakers)

Text and Materials Text = Making Life’s Choices, 2 nd Ed. Students need a small notebook with pockets for handouts, pen or pencil, highlighter, iPad and the text daily.

Grading Information The report card will show one combined grade for HPE. 65% = PE and 35% = Health PE = Quizzes-25%, Skills-20%, Participation- 20% Health= Test/Projects-20%, Quizzes-12%, Homework=3%
