IntrODUCTION AU is political organization in Africa. It has too many fora for advocacy including at Head of States of Government Level, Ministers level, and Directors General of NSOs Level AUC is charge of the activities of advocacy at Advocacy Campaign for the implementation of 2008 SNA Strategy

IntrODUCTION The activity is done in conjunction with AfDB and UNECA members of the Secretariat of AGNA

Production of advocacy Materials AUC in collaboration with partners will prepare communication strategy which includes : – Poster and Brochures; – CDs and USB Keys for dissemination – Web portal on the work of group to share best practices for the implementation of 2008 SNA

Advocacy at continental level  A report will presented to the next Joint AUC/ECA Meeting on the activities of the Group ;  Use the side event on statistics to disseminate advocacy materials  Prepare a resolution on the importance of 2008 SNA for Minster adoption and submitted to the June Ordinary Session of the Assembly of Heads of Heads of State and Government of African Union in June 2014 in Malabo  A report will also be presented during the Next CoDGs/Stat-Com in Tunisia, November 2014

Advocacy at REGIONAL level AUC will closely with RECs to ensure that the strategy of 2008 SNA is incorporated in their 2014 work program Ensure that during RECs Statistical Meeting, a report is presented on the work of the group and also during the Assembly of Heads of State and Government at RECs Level

Advocacy at NATIONAL level Prepare advocacy materials for Africa Statistics Day; Organise discussion around 2008 SNA Undertake mission to selected Member States to advocate for the implementation of 2008 SNA ;

CoNCLUSIOn Advocacy for the implementation of the 2008 SNA will allow the allocation of adequate resources at national, regional and continental levels to the implementation of the 2008 SNA;
