Fine Arts Program Recognized Villa Nueva Elementary Our Fine Arts Department consisted of ballroom dancing, a spirit team, and a campus dance team. Villa Nueva successfully reached finals during the 2014 ballroom competition.

Wellness and Physical Education Programs Exemplary Villa Nueva Elementary Students participated in the Vive tu Vida event and obtained second place for participation. Other events included Just Say No Rally, Red Ribbon Week, Catch Fit Program, Marathon Kids, and Jump Rope for Heart.

Community and Parental Involvement Recognized Villa Nueva Elementary Parents were involved in monthly meetings involving the Texas Literacy Initiative, incorporating technology at home, and testing strategies to use at home.

21 st Century Workforce Development Exemplary Villa Nueva Elementary Our 21 st Century program offered several opportunities for students to interact with the community such as Career Day and College Awareness Day.

Second Language Acquisition Program Recognized Villa Nueva Elementary English Language Learners participated in cultural awareness experiences and were participants in the BISD Bilingual Program.

Digital Learning Environment Recognized Villa Nueva Elementary Teachers used various modes of technology to address the social and academic needs of students.

Dropout Prevention Strategies Exemplary Villa Nueva Elementary Various methods of interventions were implemented to meet the needs of our At-Risk student population.

Gifted and Talented Program Recognized Villa Nueva Elementary Our school participated in various events including, U.I.L. and Science Fair competitions. Villa Nueva attained 2 nd place overall at the U.I.L. meet.
