Presentation Contrastive analysis of idioms expressing “body parts” in the English and Russian languages

The knowledge of a foreign language is very important nowadays. English is studied everywhere.

We believe that every person, who studies English, would like to speak it fluently and to understand native speakers. Good knowledge of any language can’t be imagined without phraseology.

Somatic idioms are the idioms which contain the components “body parts”. We have chosen this group of idioms because they both reflect the specific character of the English language studied at the medical college and are important for us as for future pharmacists.

W ORKING ON THE TOPIC OF OUR WORK WE CAME ACROSS AN INTERESTING ARTICLE DESCRIBING THE FREQUENCY OF USAGE OF COMPONENT “ BODY PARTS ” IN E NGLISH AND R USSIAN, WHICH IS REPRESENTED AT THE DIAGRAM.
