What Is ELI  Intentional learning community piloted and facilitated by 2014 SCA member Katie Friedman and held at Norrie Point  6 month program  Topics are flexible but center around theme of environmental leadership DateTopic (Subject to Change) May 7 th Introduction to ELI, Strengths Based Leadership June 11 th Leadership Speaker July 9 th Team and Situational Leadership August 6 th Leadership Speaker September 17 th Leadership and Organizational Culture October 8 th ELI “graduation” and member presentations

Example Topic: Strengths Based Leadership  Top five themes that resonate with participants  Expansion and complimentary  What do you do well and how can you do well with others  Interactive exercise to compliment discussion  Set leadership themed goals  “I want to organize a service project for my host site”

Encourage peer based leadership Members will feel confident enough to organize and facilitate an activity for the entire Corps

Consistent membership  Space for professional development  Interaction with members in different agencies, geographic regions  Form lasting friendships and partnerships
