Aim of the lesson At the end of the lesson students will be able to create a dialogue using the idioms given in class, orally.

Target of language (Linguistics items and their use, meaning, form) “Felt it in my bones” it means: To know something, often before seeing it or before it happens.

List of Activities To elicit previous knowledge about idiomatic expressions in English To create a dialogue and present it in front of the class

Practice To practice what we have learnt Now did you understand? The idioms are used to improve the language skills. Let´s do some exercises! I am going to show you some clauses and you are going to guess what are the meanings of them…are you ready?

Production To create a dialogue and present it in front of the class Now it is your turn to do it!! Please can you read the aim again? So now you need to create your own dialogue using all the idioms that I have presented you. You can work in groups of four.

Main Activities Explain the importance and use of idiomatic expressions in English

Final Coment Idioms are always a difficult task to learn once there is no previos knowledge of a certain level of english. Practice with Reading text and créate dialoges is the key to perform a good idioms use.
