High Achieving Gifted and Talented – Academic (GTA) Gifted and Talented – Artistic (GTR) Advanced Placement (AP) International Baccalaureate (IB) GTA/GTR students must be STATE-IDENTIFIED ~and~ SERVED in a GT/Honors Program. Use the first day of the school year as the effective start date. AP/IB students do NOT have to be state-identified as gifted. Use the first day of AP/IB courses as the effective start date. Dual Credit courses do NOT qualify a student for high achieving funding. Poverty “For day reporting, you will not enter poverty data into PowerSchool by student. The prior year Poverty Index data have been loaded into the EFA Funding System for each district and these data will be used when payments are calculated for Add- on Weightings at SCDE.” The District is PROPOSING to use each school’s 45-day lunch data to allocate payments to schools, UNLESS specific guidance is provided by the SCDE. “For day reporting, you will not enter poverty data into PowerSchool by student. Limited English Proficiency Students with SC_Engl_Prof code 1.0 – 5.9 or A – D qualify for the add-on weighting.
Update Weightings After changing data for any student, run the “Add-On Weightings Update” for the changes to take effect. Be sure to run the “Update” and NOT the “Initialization”.
