Biography The story of a person’s life written by another person

Biography/Autobiography In Greek, the word bios means “life” and graphia means “writing.” A biography is a “written life.” “Auto” means self in Greek. An autobiography is the written story of the writer’s own life.

Biography We look for factual accuracy and objectivity. Biographies are based on study and research. Writing objectively requires an unbiased account of the subject.
