Wells, W.E.B Du Bois, Archibald Grimké, Oswald Garrison Villard, Lillian Wald, Mary White Ovlington, William English Walling, Henry Moskowitz Key Moments: 1909: Founding 1917: July 28 Organised largest civil rights protest in US history (est 800 children + 10,000 silent marchers 1948: President Truman first president to formally address the NAACP 1954: Brown v Board of Education of Topeka overturns 1955: Mont bus boycotts (Rosa Parks) became a springboard for a national civil rights campaign : Civil Rights Act of ’64 + Voting Rights act ‘65 HISTORY
