Decimal is the name given to one of the ways to write part of a whole. The decimal is the tiny dot separating the whole numbers and the tenths, hundredths and thousandths. A half in decimal form is written like this = 0.5 A quarter is written like this = 0.25

One half of the Agnes is circled. This can be written in three different ways as a decimals, fraction and a percentage. The decimal version would look like this 0.5. the fraction version would look like this ½. And the percentage version would look like this 50%.
