Some lab safety rules Do not touch any equipment, supplies, or other materials without permission from your teacher. Never taste, touch, or smell chemicals unless you are directed to do so. If there’s an accident (fire, glass break, cut, etc.) tell your teacher FIRST thing! Know the location of first aid kit and fire extinguisher. NO HORSEPLAY!!

More rules Keep hands away from your face, eyes, and mouth until you are able to wash your hands after the experiment. Assume ALL chemicals are dangerous. Wear safety goggles when instructed. Keep your work space clean and neat. Follow proper disposal procedures for all chemical (many cannot be poured down the sink)
