Gallery Walk Far West Teacher Center Network - NYS Teaching Standards: Your Path to Highly Effective Teaching What is a gallery walk?  A strategy to get students actively involved in using higher order thinking to answer open-ended questions, synthesize important concepts, consensus build, write and speak. Format: 1.Instructor provides artifacts, texts, or writes discussion questions on chart paper at stations around the room. 2.Teams rotate around stations, review previous responses, and record their new responses on the chart. 3.When team returns to initial station, they synthesize responses and report their observations.
