Annabelle was diagnosed with vascular Ehlers-Danlos syndrome (Vascular EDS) in December 2012 aged three. Vascular EDS is a life threatening and incurable genetic condition. Registered Charity No

Annabelle’s Challenge Charity Established in Jan 2013 to raise awareness of vascular EDS Achieved UK registered charity status in May 2014 Driven by Annabelle’s parents and a loyal team of local volunteers Focused on raising awareness & funds to support patients & families Aims to educate the general public and medical profession

Vascular Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome Vascular EDS is a rare genetic condition caused by collagen deficiency with a daily risk of internal organs and arteries spontaneously rupturing. Estimated 700 affected in the UK but only 100 on the database Average Life expectancy is 51 Risk of sudden death due to arterial or organ rupture at any age
