The charity my group has picked is the YMCA charity. My group members are Dahmin,Sean, and Javien.

 The founder of this charity was Twenty-two- year-old George Willia.He joined his 11 friends to create the first Young Men’s Christian Association (YMCA), a place of Bible study and prayer for young men to escape from the dangers of life on the streets. Today it is still here all over the country.

 Today, the YMCA has more than 10,000 neighborhoods across the U.S. As the nation’s leading nonprofit committed to helping people and communities to learn, grow and have, our contributions are both far-reaching —from influencing our nation’s culture during times of profound social change to the individual support we provide an adult learning to read.

 In the future they plan to help trillions people to be healthy and smart.  Now they are doing a great job of making that happen.
