Bumble Bee Tiana

Why are bumble bees arthropods? Bumble bees are arthropods because they are insects and insects are in the arthropods family. The yellow in this graph represents insects the green represents cellecrates the peach represents crustacean the pink represents myriapods and the blue represents annelids.

Why Are Bumblebees Fuzzy? The hair on the bees helps its survival so in case its cold out they wont get frost bite also Thanks to fuzzy bodies, the bees sometimes leave some of the pollen grains behind each time they visit another flower, which is the primary mechanism of insect pollination. Without those furry bodies flitting from flower to flower, life on earth would be very different indeed.

What Do They Eat? honey Bumble bees also eat pollen and honey when there is no nectar available. Bumble bees have numerous natural predators including birds, larger insects and amphibians such as frogs and newts. The queen bumble bee is the one who lays the eggs

How Long Can Bumblebees live for? A queen bumble bee lives only one year. Both honey bee and bumble bee queens' life spans depend on their ability to produce offspring -- they die when they are no longer able to lay fertile eggs.

How long until a Bumblebee’s egg hatch? When the queen bee lays her eggs she waits 4 days until the turn into larvae witch look like maggots then a couple days later they turn into baby bumble bees.

Facts About BummbleBees 1.Unlike most native bees, but like honey bees, bumble bees are social insects that live in colonies. 2. Except for new queens, which hibernate during winter, bumble bee colonies die in late fall. 3. Bumble bees do not produce honey, but pollination services they provide are worth more than that product would yield. Bumble bees’ wings beat 130 or more times per second. 5. Bumble bees are in trouble. (They are going instinct)
