2 Scoring Workshop Agenda 10-12pm Review DRAFTS of Annotated Scoring Guides: Web-review currently on-line: Final document to be posted to MEAP website January 2008 Break into small groups for mock range-finding with a released high school item: ~45 minutes Reconvene for whole group discussion

3 What is Range Finding? A committee composed of Michigan social studies educators reads a sample of student papers to determine a “range” of scores for that prompt: 0-3 points for 6 th grade assessment 0-4 points for 9th grade assessment 0-5 points for 11 th (mme) grade assessment
