Essential Questions to Consider

Essential Questions  How does the duality of man, and human nature in general, influence our personal determination?  What power does the individual have in the determination of his fate or in the destinies of others?  Is mankind condemned to tragedy? Why or why not?  How does suffering illuminate understanding?  Is the modern-day tragic hero possible?

What are the elements of a tragic hero?

Othello Act ___ Quiz 1. Summarize the events of this Act. You must list at least 5, and no more than 9, specific plot points. In order. 2. Find one passage that illustrates the character traits/development of a character below. Be ready to explain HOW the passage illustrates character: 1. Othello 2. Iago or Desdemona 3.
