What haven’t we covered Filtrate tank, WBL screen 05-PF-006-001 MC Pump, Effluent Lift Station 05-PF-004-001 Seal water, bathroom, etc 05-PF-005-001 Showering pumps/ filter 05-PF-007-001 Shower collection systems 06-PF-008-001 Blow Tank NCG systems Consistency water tank 11-PF-001-001 HD tower 12-PF-4611-001 Stock Prep Rejects
Filtrate Tank and System 1 Big Filtrate Tank 4 pumps off of it Blow tank dilution vfd(feeds refiner feed tank too) Screen dilution vfd Weak Black Liquor Transfer (to screen/recovery) Screen elutriation Fill it from washer showers (like current washers) Baffles inside to help foam and turnover Big tank, Startup volume will be important. A lot of large pipes to fill. Look at the flows and pressures for the pumps
Filtrate Tank Weak black liquor transfer pump to recovery You have a small pressure screen on it, rejects go to the screen feed tank There is a bypass around it so the screen won’t shut pulp mill down There is a cheat line from the blow tank dilution over to the screen, so if you lose the transfer pump you can cheat off dilution to keep running Pressure screen is a miniature version of the big hot stock screens No longer go to the WBL tank in the pulp mill.
MC Pump Higher consistency than you currently do High discharge pressure (200+ psi) Same size as OCC’s pump, upgraded rotating element. Vacuum pump impellar built into the pump Standpipe design, level indication VFD but not like you think. More set up for 3 main steps of flow (1 digester, 2 dig, 3 digs) See presentation
Shower Collection System Washer needs clean water for 3 cleaning showers Washer needs hot water for 6th stage showers Washer needs about 1000 gpm for this purpose, that’s more than we have vacuum seal water MC pump needs a shot of flush water sometimes
Shower Collection System To collect different water sources and to heat them, must take place in the pulp mill Collect them into a gravity strainer up high so it can drain into a tank Strainer in place of #3 unit chip hopper Accepts tank/ shower collection tank is in open area beside #4 L36 Rejects drain back into stock storage tank (ww tank) Vacuum seal water and WW feed into gravity strainer Mill supply backup, into the tank and discharge of the pump Drawings and video of strainer
Shower collection You have to heat the water to around 140oF (washing efficiency) Reuse all 3 spiral heat exchangers The water side will be this shower water collection The hot filtrate side will be Blow tank dilution There is a bypass (auto valve) if you are not getting enough blow tank dilution to the blow tank There is a bypass (manual) if you cant get enough water through for some reason Confusing piping and P&ID. Kind of like your coolers today
Shower Collection Cleaning shower filters in washer building Brochure Cleaning shower has smaller nozzles, high pressure, needs cleaner water
Blow Tank, NCG Blow Tank gets an additional cyclone and a replacement Fiber separator NCG’s are pulled from all stock tanks in new building and piped to a steam ejector on pulp mill roof. Blow tank dilution feeds new cyclone flush, current cyclone like today, and new dilution valves on suction of pumps. Blow tank pumps get bigger motors and new impellars NCG P&ID
Consistency WW Tank Stock Storage Tank becomes the consistency water tank
