What is OCS? A persistent, distributed, virtual, real-time, interactive, shared environment which provides: –A sense of place –Support for multiple users –Metaphor-driven (buildings and rooms) –Shared Data, Tools, & Information (Objects) –Session Management Customizable in that users are empowered to develop and control objects that model their business environment Published APIs for interoperability
