How I Learn How do you think you learn best? By hearing Information _________ By seeing information _________ By doing things “hands on” _________ Alone _________ In a group _________ How do you express yourself best? By talking _________ By writing _________ By: Rommel Campoy

Task 1: Whole Group Discussion Which way do I learn? You learn from hearing words spoken You learn well from seeing words in books, on the chalkboard, charts, pictures, or workbooks. Would rather demonstrate how to do something rather than verbally explain it By: Rommel Campoy

Activity: Small Group ( Identifying Supports to Learning Needs) Complete the “How I learn” checklist. The common characteristics of each learning style can help you understand how you learn and what methods of learning best fits you. Understanding how you learn can help maximize time you spend studying by incorporating different techniques to custom fit various subjects, concepts, and learning objectives. By: Rommel Campoy

Analyze the results of the checklist. In your group, discuss the learning style that you want to focus and identify the different supports that can help you learn best. Prepare a summary (a chart, graphic presentation, or an audio recording) of the different supports you have identified and selected. Be ready to share to the class. By: Rommel Campoy
