TV Shows Many animated Star Wars tv shows have been made over the years, some are even still being made (Star Wars Rebels). These animated shows are mainly targeted at children as they are played on the Disney channel, but many star wars fans of all ages watch them.

Literature Star Wars-based fiction predates the release of the first film, with the 1976 novelization of Star Wars (written by Alan Dean Foster and credited to Lucas). Since then hundreds of books have been written about the star wars franchise, including many about what happens before and after the stories of the films and many about how the films were made.

Children's toys Just like the many games created about the star wars franchise, there has also been thousands of kids toys and action figures created over the years. Although mainly targeted towards the younger fans, many people have built massive collections since the release of the first film in 1977.

Reception (box office)

Awards The six films together were nominated for 25 Academy Awards, of which they won ten. Three of these were Special Achievement Awards.

Audience (Kids) Children seem to get attached to their favourite characters or story's, this is exactly the case for Star Wars fans. As children have great imaginations they always seem to believe that they have the powers of their favourite characters such as Luke or Obi Wan. This shows the dedication and innocence of the young fans of the franchise.

Fan made series and films There is many fan made star wars films and internet shows. Many that have a lot to do with the original story, but also many devoted fans write their own stories, characters and scripts. There is also many YouTube channels focusing on the latest Star Wars news on films, books, games etc. For example Hello Greedo, Sams Views and of course the Official Star Wars YouTube page. One of my personal favourite fan made films would be Star Wars: Threads of Destiny. It was released in 2014 by Tirzitis Entertainment. This is my favourite, but there is hundreds more that were all made by dedicated and loving fans.
