Simile Simile is the comparison of two unlike things using like or as

Tone Tone is the attitude a writer takes towards a subject or character: serious, humorous, sarcastic, ironic, satirical, tongue-in-cheek, solemn, objective.

Antonym A word having a meaning opposite to that of another word

Synonym A word having the same or nearly the same meaning as another word or other words in a language

Syntax Syntax is the way in which linguistic elements (as words) are put together to form constituents (as phrases or clauses)

Diction style of speaking or writing as dependent upon choice of words:

Mood Mood is the emotional attitude the author takes towards the subject.

Setting Setting is determining Time and Place in fiction.

Irony Irony is an implied discrepancy between what is said and what is meant.
