Jugar = to play a sport or a game

El verbo jugar significa “to play.” When using jugar with a sport: add al between jugar & sport! Por ejemplo: Me gusta jugar al vóleibol. Es mi deporte favorito.

Jugar is a stem changing verb. We also call these boot verbs. Stem changing verbs change a part of their stem. What is the stem? The part that is left over after dropping the –ar, -er, -ir Ud, él, ellaUds, The stem of JUGAR will change from U  UE when the subject is inside the boot!!

JUGAR: Ud, él, ellaUds, o as a amos áis an Ju = who Jue = whay
