It was number 5’s birthday and she was going to have a party. “Hurray!” Said all the other numbers, “Jelly, ice cream and birthday cake, we can’t wait!” So off they all went to get ready

There are some rules if you want to come to my party... 5 Come back, come back!

5 I want 5 balloons before you can come into my party!

So all the numbers went and got their balloons But none of them had enough. They all felt very sad. Can you think of a way of helping them?

3 All of a sudden number 3 had an idea. We could go in pairs so that we have 5 balloons altogether. 4 What a good idea said number 4, I’ll be your partner. Have they got enough balloons to go to the party?

So 3 and 2, and 1 and 4 went off to the party.... But poor zero was left behind
