Presentation transcript:

The definition of the Earth system or grounding: the electric connection between the work of intentionally electrical device or network devices on the one hand and the mass of the earth on the other hand. So the grounding is required to provide for the safety of the electrical system and the staff at the facility

Earthing system consists generally of: 1. ground soil, which is placed in the electrode. 2. grounding electrodes. 3 grounding cables. 4. equipment connectivity interfaces

The importance and advantage of the good ground: First: Ground protects individuals from the risk of electrocution caused by insulation failure or collapse. Second: protects against the risk of electrostatic discharge. Third: protects equipment from damage to a sudden and significant changes in the supply voltage.

Worksheet

What is the function of this wire ? The function of this wire lies in the absorption of electric charge leaking from any machine linked strapped him well and discharged into the ground, the protection of human lives and the risk of leaking shipments for any reason.

What are the component of the grounding system in general ? 1. ground soil, which is placed in the electrode. 2. grounding electrodes. 3 grounding cables. 4. equipment connectivity interfaces
