#imec2016 Completed examples – 5 th Grade

#imec2016 Preparing for filming - PLAN Organize scenes by location Prepare timeline based on the availability of the locations Be flexible, allow more time than anticipated Be organized, have props ready. Have a back-up plan Tell other teachers, hallway monitors, administration, etc. when you may be using common areas.

#imec2016 Filming Keep everything you film, you may want it later or run out of time and need it Assign student jobs or plan other activities – Not everyone can be in every scene Watch film as soon as possible- the best feedback is students watching how they look on camera

#imec2016 Editing using iMovie Start editing/inserting video into iMovie from Day 1 if possible. Show students both good and bad clips, not all students “shine” right away Example editing in iMovie

#imec2016 Using a Green Screen Green Bulletin Board Paper works well Can use pictures or video as background Do not wear green!
