WEIMARANERS …let the adventure begin!

What is a Weimaraner?

 A hunting dog bred in Germany.  Originally, they were bred to hunt large game, i.e., bear, deer and boars.  They are strong, athletic and hardworking.  Weimaraners are now mostly used as small game hunters due to their natural ability to “point”, and they also make excellent family pets.

Weimaraners are:  ~ kind  ~ loyal  ~ protective  ~ playful  ~ loving  ~ smart  ~ energetic

Weimaraners will be 23 to 27 inches and lbs full grown.

Weimaraner are known for their “pointing” abilities.

Weimaraners make excellent family pets

Weimaraners need love and attention. They are wonderful with children and adults alike, but they don’t like to be left alone.

Weimaraners are extremely loyal to and protective of their owners.

Taking care of a Weimaraner:  Brush their teeth daily.  Bathe them every week, with frequent brushings in between.  Clip their nails weekly.  Exercise, exercise, exercise them!

Weimaraners need lots of exercise and fresh, outdoor air.

Weimaraners are fairly low- maintenance to groom, including brushing all those teeth!

Weimaraners can be the most loving, wonderful pet you have ever had…

…or the most destructive force in your life since Hurricane Katrina!

Training and caring for a Weimaraner takes patience and persistence. Don’t give up! It will be worth all your efforts.

Happiness is a Weimaraner!
