Humans of Kent County Audio for iPhone

In order to complete a submission for Humans of Kent County, you will need to create an audio recording or video of your interview. In the following pages, we’ll look at how to create, transcribe and submit your audio recordings.

Audio for iPhone Your iPhone has a Voice Memo function. To access it, go to your “Utilities,” which should be a subfolder on your screen. Open the app to get started. Note: On some older model phones, you access the voice memo utility from the bottom tray.

Audio for iPhone To begin recording, press the red button at the top of the screen. The image on the right shows that a recording is being made. To stop recording, click on the red button again.

Audio for iPhone You will be prompted to name the file to save it. Make sure the file includes the name of the subject of your interview.

Audio for iPhone To submit a piece, you will need to choose a quote from your subject. 1 to 3 sentences is best, but in some rare cases, a longer quote may be appropriate. To play back, click on the saved file, then click the play button. You will need to write down your subject’s quote so that you can enter it when you upload to the blog.

Audio for iPhone To submit your recording click on the share icon below the play button. Choose an option.
