Training Plan Focus New Training Goals Create a list of training goals in the newly created Training Plan. Newly recognized training goals may be added to an existing Training Plan. Continuing Training Goals Regularly review the list of existing training goals that appear in a Training Plan. Any updates or changes made should be appropriately noted. Completed Training Goals Completed training goals should be evaluated and reported. Training Plans should be simple in format and easy to understand.

Specific Measurable Attainable Realistic Time Bound Training Plan Objectives

Review and update on a regular basis Create a maintenance schedule Monitor Progress Review & Update Training Plan “Look what I found in the dumpster! A perfectly good Training Plan!”

Training Plan Considerations Use the K.I.S.S. Principle Consider the Training Record Make Sure that the Training Plan is “On Target” The Training Plan must address the right needs, and it must be delivered in the right format, to the right audience, at the right time!
