NGSS Timeline: What we know today  The standards can be accessed at  Final Release – April 9, 2013

Timeline Continued…  NYS Science Standards Evaluation Tool (Survey)  Various groups of stakeholders compare each set of standards (current and NGSS)  Stakeholders are: statewide leadership team, science content advisory panel, NYS Science Education consortium.  Survey Closed October 15, 2013  The feedback received on this survey will be used, in part, to formulate a recommendation to the BOR regarding next steps regarding P-12 science teaching and learning.

Survey Results 4,500 people started to respond to survey 1,500 actually submitted the completed survey Aggregating data at this time. NGSS UPDATE ONLY for Board of Regents on December board meeting agenda No recommendations being made to the Board of Regents at that time.
