Small Grants Programme Update 20 January 2016

Meetings 5 Meetings of the Action Group 4 Sessions with 95 young people external to the Action Group process to test out the emerging criteria 3 Meetings with youth service colleagues with particular experience of supporting or implementing small grants programmes 2 Half-day training sessions with young people who applied to act as Award Panel members.

Award Panel 14 Applications were received YP from L’Derry, Banbridge, Craigavon, Belfast 8 Young people attended Taster/Training Day in November 2 nd training day held on 16 January 3 Meetings planned with members to develop application form & guidance (action research approach)

Timeline - Pilot Meetings of the Award Panel in geographic sub-groups to devise & refine application materials by mid Feb Meeting of full Action Group planned 4 th Feb Further work with Award Panel on assessment, selection and decision-making processes by mid Mar Anticipate call for applications circa 1 st April Provisional timeline Call open for 6 weeks, 2 weeks processing, followed by Award Panel decisions Projects starting in June 2016 Monitoring, support, learning and evaluation Report on programme by end December 2016
