15 Key Competences  Learning to learn Developing strategies for solving orienteering problems individually and as a member of a group of people by obtaining, analyzing and selecting relevant information.  Autonomy and initiative Developing personal qualities such as initiative and perseverance in the face of difficulty and self-criticism.

16 Assessment KEY CONCEPTS Students:  identify and solve problems, following the instructions of each activity  work in teams, appreciating and respecting the ideas and decisions of others and taking responsibility for individual tasks  analyze the utility of using orienteering resources in the environment  understand and put into practice First Aid and the Heimlich Manoeuvre  understand and put into practice the key elements of Hiking.

17 Assessment KEY LANGUAGE Students …  are able to use the language in a comprehensible way  use the key language accurately  use the target language as the language of communication in class.

18 Assessment THINKING SKILLS  Students know the utility of a compass and a map.  Students navigate with orientation.  Students analyse and use wind directions in the most reasonable way.  Students prepare and wear the equipment for the Field Trip in a logical way.  Students follow the stages of a technique to save lives.  Students put into practice the information acquired about Hiking.
