What is SSSM? It is Integrated Social Security Mission An Umbrella organization for all social security programmes irrespective of Departments To provide technical and administrative support It provides IT enabled service delivery

Why SSSM? Central and State Governments run different schemes for the benefit of its citizens, especially labour, BPL families, senior citizens, widows, weaker sections and disabled persons. For better convergence of these schemes and proper delivery To bring about financial similarity between the schemes, single service delivery point for similarly placed schemes For better monitoring and transparency.

Objective of the Mission Standardization and rationalization of schemes and benefits Simplification of rules and procedures Transparency and digitized information of Beneficiaries To provide services to the beneficiaries at one place and by one person for same type of benefits irrespective of department Creating awareness of the schemes of government among masses

Groupings Samgra has grouped the beneficiary oriented schemes into three groups : Social Justice: Pension, Insurance, Marriage, Death assistance. Health: Janani Surksha and other health schemes School Education: Scholarships Sc/ST/OBC/ Minority/Disabled/ Merit/General Category poor IT support : Transparency and Database

How to GO about? Data base :- All Departments have the data base of there beneficiaries These data bases don't talk to each other Converging these data base and creating a strong data base is mammoth task Decided to use National Population Register since it identifies the person with family Went for our own data base without NPR

Why Consolidated Data Base? Different departments provide benefits to their targeted beneficiaries under different scheme and sanctioned by their respective department even though beneficiaries are at one roof. To avoid duplication, wider reach, beneficiary assessment and also for transparency. This database cut across departments and it will be unique and all inclusive database which can be used for all departments.

Entitlement based approach Data base has general attributes of all citizens Consolidated data base provides for probable eligible persons Pro-actively verify the eligibility and provide service on basis of entitlement. It also avoid queuing at offices Running pillar to pillar can be avoided
