Monday, February 29 4:15 AM- EVERYONE Check into Lafayette airport 6:00 AM-All Students Depart 8:38 AM- Arrive in Atlanta 11:20 AM- Depart for Washington, DC 12:59 Arrive in Washington at Washington National Airport

What to Bring One Suitcase (preferably with wheels) One Carry-on (backpack- no wheels) Heavy Jacket/Coat, scarf, gloves (put in backpack) Rain poncho for backpack Toiletries

Clothing Pack in two gallon size ziploc for each day Underclothing, thermal underwear Warm Socks, 2 pair waterproofed shoes AES shirts Warm (free dress) bottoms No swimsuit necessary Please have your child pack with you. T-Shirt Package

Games and Electronics Lap games, travel games, paperback books No electronic games (or books) No MP3 players, iPads, Kindles, etc… No cameras Pictures posted each evening on 5 th grade website aes5 Girls- no make up or jewelry No Cell Phones (Chaperone will give parents cell phone number for emergencies. Students will call each evening.)

More to bring Snacks Not nuts (pistachios etc…) No gum (teachers distribute on the planes) Money $20.00 money card for plane movies $50-$100 (Student is responsible)

Medicine In original bottle with detailed instructions In a labeled ziploc bag Given to chaperone before February 29th departure, if possible.
