2. Who?  The meteor wiped out all dinosaurs  There were over 700 different species  Scientists believe more will be discovered

3. Where?  Meteor struck the Yucatan peninsula  Area is now known as Chicxulub

4. When?  Dinosaurs ruled the world for nearly 200 million years  Other animals played a secondary role  They disappeared between 65-66 million years ago

5. What Happened?  A meteor struck with a six mile diameter  Impact generated enough debris to block sun  Killing most impact survivors of starvation

6. Survivors  Fresh water organisms  They were accustomed to fresh water freeze  Dealt with low temperatures

7. After the impact  Left a crater 12 miles deep and 124 miles wide  Third largest impact to Earth  New organisms formed
