4. How do you get into the EU?  Must meet the Copenhagen criteria  Stable democracy that respects human rights and the rule of law  Functioning market economy capable of competition within the EU  Acceptance of the obligations of membership, including EU law

5. Military & Humanitarian Aid  There is NO one unified military  21 of the 27 members are part of NATO (North Atlantic Treaty Organization)  European Commissions Humanitarian Aid Office or ECHO provides humanitarian aid from the EU to developing countries  Largest aid donor in the world.
