3 How its treated Treated to preserve the afflicted person’s quality of life, not to cure the mutation. Hair dyes, avoid sunlight, often contacts or think lensed glasses; sometimes even eye surgery.

4 Genetics behind it Passed through X chromosome Appears much more commonly in males, 1 in 2 chance to get defected chromosome passed from the mother. More information on the next page
