SB 1440 Student Transfer Achievement Reform Act Discipline faculty from CCC and CSU systems developing Transfer Model Curriculum Community colleges must offer (and CSU must accept students who complete) an associate degree that includes: 18+ semester units / 27 + quarter units in a major or area of emphasis Completion of the CSU GE or IGETC pattern 60 transferable semester (90 quarter) units GPA of 2.0 No additional graduation requirements Approval process will be announced

H OTTEST T OPICS Limitations on Enrollment Legal Opinion O 10-07 Cohort of students enrolled in a section that is not open to other students “Reasonable percentage” of all sections is defined as the majority of sections Title 5 section 58106 allows exceptions Contracts with CTE Providers Title 5, chapter 6, subchapter 7, commencing with 55600 Sections 55602 and 55605 require annual approval by the Chancellor’s Office of contracts with CTE providers, i.e. cosmetology New form and process will be distributed in spring 2011
